I was really surprised when one of my photos won the photo competition for the event and Diabetes UK even used it on the flyer advertising this year’s South West Coastal Path Challenge (you can see images of the flyer on the right). This year I decided to walk the adjoining section 69, from Lulworth Cove to Kimmeridge. I sent off the registration form and some time later received the info pack for section 69, which began with slightly ominous paragraph: This section of the South West Coast Path is probably one of the most dramatic and also demanding stretches of the Path. It passes through some of the most stunning scenery in the Dorset section, but involves some very strenuous climbs around the little cove of Arish Mell and Worbarrow Bay. Chris and I were to discover exactly what they meant when they wrote “very strenuous climbs”, but in the end, these uphill struggles contributed a lot to our feeling of achievement when we eventually arrived at Kimmeridge. Of course, there was the little matter of the pink wig... Now, enjoy the photos of this “stunning scenery”. Page 1 of 8
